Keeping Merseyside warm for 30 years

Liverpool Heating is your local, Gas Safe team for boilers, servicing and renewables. We're a proper local firm — not a call-centre — and we still do it the same way we always have: honest advice, a clear fixed price, and a tidy job you can trust.

A local firm, not a call centre

Liverpool Heating is the trading name of Complete Home Energy Solutions Ltd, and the same team has been fitting and fixing heating across Merseyside for over 30 years. Ring 0151 440 2000 and you get someone who knows the streets we work on rather than a national call centre reading a script. Every engineer who comes to your door is Gas Safe registered under registration 541116, and we are a Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer — which is what lets us register guarantees of up to 12 years on their boilers rather than the standard term. We work out of Basecamp Liverpool on Jamaica Street in the Baltic Triangle, which puts most of the city inside half an hour.

Thirty years of Merseyside housing

The housing here is not uniform, and that matters more than most quotes admit. A solid-wall Victorian terrace off Lark Lane loses heat at a completely different rate to a cavity-walled 1930s semi in Childwall, and a converted villa near Sefton Park has pipe runs that were never designed for the system now bolted to them. Parts of Woolton, Aigburth and Cressington sit inside conservation areas, where permitted development does not allow a flue on an elevation fronting a highway — so the boiler position gets decided at survey, not on install day. Out towards Rainford, Crank and Preston Brook there are homes with no mains gas at all. Knowing that before we quote is the difference between a price that holds and a price that moves.

How a job actually runs

It starts with a survey, not a phone estimate. We measure the heat loss room by room, check the gas supply can carry the output, work out where the flue can legally terminate and test the incoming mains flow rate — that last one decides whether a combi will give you the shower you expect. You get a written fixed price for the work specified, and if something is going to change it we tell you before you commit rather than after. On the day we fit, flush and commission the system, complete the Benchmark checklist, register the manufacturer guarantee for you, take the old boiler away and leave the house as we found it. The paperwork is handed over before we go.

What the accreditations actually mean

Gas Safe registration is the legal minimum for anyone touching gas in your home — ours is 541116, and it is worth asking any installer for theirs. Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer status is granted by the manufacturer and is what allows the longer guarantee registration. Which? Trusted Trader is independent: traders are vetted and the reviews are moderated, which is why our 5.0 there is from 78 verified reviews rather than anonymous ratings. Alongside that we hold a 5.0 average across 153 Google reviews. None of that guarantees a perfect job on its own, but together they mean there is somewhere independent to check us, and somewhere to complain if we get it wrong.

Where we work

We cover Liverpool and the wider North West — Wirral, Sefton, Knowsley, St Helens, West Lancashire, Halton, Warrington and into Cheshire West. That runs from Southport and Formby in the north down to Runcorn and Frodsham, and from West Kirby across to Newton-le-Willows. If you are not sure whether we reach you, the quickest answer is to check the full list of areas we cover or just call and ask.
