The BUS scheme will run until April 2028 and will provide grants for air source heat pumps (ASHPs) and ground source heat pumps (GSHPs)
This grant will offer £7,500 to install a ASHP heat pump.

This grant is a no strings attached shceme, and the money will never need to be repaid.

The remaining cost of the installation, when the grant has been deducted, is to be paid by customers. To be eligible for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, you will need to meet these requirements:

You must be a homeowner or small business owner
Your property must be in England or Wales
The building must have a valid energy performance certificate (EPC) issued within the last 10 years. If not, you will need a new EPC certificate

How do I apply?

Only an MCS Certified installer can apply to OFGEM for a voucher under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. Fortunately, we are an MCS Certified installer and can take care of the application on your behalf. All you need to do is consent to the application and here’s what will follow:

Applying for Your Voucher – As your installer, Liverpool Heating will take care of this step for you to ensure a hassle free process.
Redeeming Your Voucher – This step will be initiated by Liverpool Heating for you, as we will confirm the process of completed paperwork and proof of installation.

John recently installed a new central heating system for us and we have been so impressed from start to finish. We had just moved into a larger house in need of a lot of work, including a new central heating system and were recommended John. He came to visit several times to discuss what would be most suitable for our home and needs, and was very patient while we worked out what we wanted (about 6 quotes over 2 months..). John promptly booked us in once we had decided and the installation took a matter of days. He also managed to repair another companies mistake which had left us without water for weeks. John has really gone out of his way to help us in what has been quite a stressful time and really knows his stuff. There's no sales pitch, it's just what you want for your home. After speaking to a number of different trades people during our house renovation I can say John is a rare find!

Their quote was fully itemised, nothing was too much problem, communication was good, and John is really polite and friendly. Job was done on the day it was booked, engineer stayed late and finished. Gentleman called Richard I believe carried out a tech survey and was very knowledgeable and provided me with the information i needed before making the decision to go ahead with the install. John was fabulous from first contact. Our boiler broke in the middle of a really cold spell and with 3 children, it was a real concern about how quickly we could get this fixed/rectified. John was able to come out and get a new boiler fitted within a few days.

I had been looking for someone to sort my mums heating out for a week and someone mentioned looking at the Which Trusted Trader site and we are so glad we did- we looked for a company with a lot of 5* reviews and Complete Home Energy Solutions ( Liverpool Heating and Boiler Installation) were the best ones with superb reviews - and it’s been fantastic service from start to finish . John came out to have a look at my mums heating quickly and immediately knew the issue - parts were needed which he managed to get hold of within a few days and came out to fit them . It was a really difficult job to do as there was very limited space to access the part that needed replacing but at all times John was polite and courteous , and chatty which my mum loved !!! She now has all her heating back on and we can’t thank John enough - we would 100% recommend John but just look at the other reviews on the Which website - it’s not just us that think they give amazing service!!! Recently had a Hybrid Heat pump installed by these guys, can’t believe how clean and tidy they was. The job took. 2 and a half days and the lads cleared up after themselves as they went, keeping everywhere tidy, which was a big thing for us as we have small children and a dog.

When the job was complete Richard explained all the controls to us and made it all so simple to use.

All paperwork and warranties have been handed over to us along with relevant contact numbers in case we need further help moving forward.

Been looking and for an air source heat pump for a while and have had various companies quote silly amounts and over complicated jargon

I am a landlord who lives in Cardiff but has a house in Liverpool that we rent out. The boiler stopped working at the end of last week and I contacted John for a quote.
